KNOYDART

SCOTLAND'S LAST WILDERNESS

Knoydart is located in the southwestern highlands, between the inlets of Loch Hourn (hell) in the north and Loch Nevis (sky) in the south. The only major settlement is Inverie where about half of the approximately 130 inhabitants of the peninsula live. Inverie houses the famous 'Old Forge' pub, primary school, post office, small shops, tea room, restaurants, vacation rentals, B&B's, brewery and the 'The Table' a local gathering spot.

Scotland's last wilderness

Knoydart is known as 'Scotland's last wilderness', because it is hardly inhabited and can only be reached on foot or by boat.
